Role and Responsibilities

• Collaborate within the Data Office, in particular as part of the Engineering and Platforms team, to support the successful roll-out of the Transformation Program;
• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch or real-time data pipelines and workflows that collect, process, store and distribute datasets;
• Develop tools and frameworks for other engineers and users to enhance efficiency;
• Support machine learning model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management, ensuring integration with data pipelines;
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems to ensure efficient data processing;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to understand business, data and technical requirements and translate them into effective Solution Designs and Data Products;
• Implement data validation methods and ensure compliance with data governance and security policies;
• Document and communicate technical processes, architecture, and data flows.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Higher degree in IT, Management, Engineering, or a related field;
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer or similar role;
• Strong knowledge of SQL to solve highly complex problems in an optimized way;
• Proficiency in programming languages used in Data/ML (e.g., Python, Java, Scala);
• Programming skills and knowledge of Data Engineering tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Spark) and cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks);
• Knowledge of DataOps practices (e.g., CI/CD, automated testing, version control);
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
